I thought that this painting by Dali was pretty interesting and usual because the metals looked as though it was melting. The ants on the watch indicated it was rotten and that to me seemed impossible, how can a watch be rotten. Dali wanted to disrupt the reality of things and he wanted the viewers to think outside of the norm. So within this painting, time goes out of the window, there isn't any relevance of time.
