"In Matisse, we see the decorative, in Picasso the destructive," I definitely agreed with this quote after viewing the popular paintings of these two artists and found myself more attracted to Matisses themes and color schemes. I see gloomier paintings when looking through Picassos, with darker colors and distorted faces or scenery. I thought this painting was a good example of the gloomy setting Picasso would paint. I liked this one and the colors used.
