Marcel Duchamp pained this piece of art in 1946. I chose this particular piece of his works because the first thing that caught my eye was the lamp that was resting suddenly in the corpse's hand. through the pinhole effect, the primary object that first captures the viewer's eyes in the body of the woman lying in the bushes creating a contrast with the scenery behind her. The attention to detail throughout the painting is captivating as it brings this painting to life. Although the women may or may not be dead in this painting, it reminds open to interpretation adding more depth to the nature and concept of the painting. I can understand how Etant Donna can be considered one of Duchamp's major works.
