This particular piece from Duchamp interests me even with its seemingly extreme simplicity. Although it may just be from the underside of a table it looks like, but suspended in mid-air you can make it out to be an octopus or even a jellyfish floating and swimming around in water. I find it incredibly creative that Duchamp saw the weirdness in the form of this object, and how intriguing that form can be on its own.
