Salvador Dali - Bull face 1968-1970
Salvador Dali was a Spanish painter who was known for his influential exploration of subconscious imagination. In this collection he paints women which are a depiction of his wife who hated bullfighting. His medium of choice was oil on canvas. This optical illusion portrait of his face but was created from a bull which is the bottom portion of his face and an angel dressed in white holding a scale with eyeballs which is the top portion of his face. The bull is looking at a Matador standing on a rock. I really like this portrait. The way he uses the elements to create his face is genius ! The scale means justice most likely for all bullfighters and those who love that game.
