Although both Matisse and Picasso are very talented painters whose works have been praised and admired for its structure and style, I prefer Matisse's paintings. I enjoy how bright and pigmented the colors he used are on the canvas compared to Picasso's usual dark color palette. Additionally, Matisse's smooth paintings are, in my opinion, much more pleasing and calming to look at than Picasso's sharp and figured subjects.
